Furthering your education doesn't always mean you have to complete a Master Degree or other advanced degree. Taking online certificate courses can enhance your knowledge, as well as give you a leg up in the industry.
What are online certificate programs? They are courses of study offered by colleges and universities to complement your current education or degree in any field of study. Employers look favorably upon continued desire for education, so completing certification can often give you that needed boost for a promotion or management position.

A number of schools offer online certificates in business specialties like accounting, finance, negotiations, human resources, and safety. Completing a certificate in any of these areas would enhance you bachelor's degree and make you more marketable to employers.
If you already have an information technology or a computer-related degree, you can take additional courses toward an online computer science/IT certificate. Some employers require their IT staff to take additional courses to stay current in the continually changing field. You can find these available for IT specializations like network security, networks, computer programming or web design. Many of these programs may also provide you with the knowledge to then complete the appropriate exam for vendor certification.
